Lt. Governor Karyn Polito paid a visit to our PACE Center for a special announcement on the Baker-Polito Administration Community Compact IT Grants.

Thanks to a $103,000 grant we have been able to implement an online pre-registration process at Springfield Public Schools. This portal, available through our website in both and , allows parents to avoid long lines by beginning the enrollment process electronically. Traditionally an in-person paper process, families are now able to upload important documents to begin the registration process from their computer or cellphones.

Additionally, the city of Springfield is receiving a $100,000 grant to improve its digital archive system.

Springfield is one of 51 communities in the commonwealth receiving Community Compact IT Grants for a combined total of $3.1 million.
